How Medford Public Schools built a K–12 robotics pathway

From 4th grade to high school, aligned to the Massachusetts DLCS standards, with district-wide visibility.

The challenge

Massachusetts is a global hub for robotics and advanced manufacturing, and Medford wanted its learners ready to take part. The district needed more engaging, higher-level learning opportunities for middle school students, in an elective format, and a consistent way to see what was happening across classes.

The decision

Medford chose ROBOTIX C360 because it adapts to each learner and keeps students engaged, while giving the district one curriculum aligned directly to the state's DLCS standards.

The rollout

  • Grade 4 to high school, in one consistent pathway
  • Year two: earlier exposure to prepare students for middle school, and continuation into high school
